I’m pretty much a libertarian, with conservative sympathies, and it angers me greatly how liberals operate and communicate from their own personal opinions and feelings, which are rarely backed up by any actual facts or truth. They had one middle-aged liberal on TV a few weeks ago, who said,”I formed my opinions in the 60s, when I was in my teens, and never really thought about those things again”. That is apparently the way most liberals are. They are duped in their childhood or youth into believing passionately in certain ideas or principles, by some beloved or respected liberal adult, and take them as their own without any examination of their validity, truth, or even practicality in our imperfect world.
Hundreds of millions of people perished horribly under Communism in the 20th century, men, women, children and babies,most of them unarmed civilians, many innocent of any crime, some only guilty of the crime of speaking out against their totalitarian government. Yet modern-day liberals take Communist principles as their model: a strong central government that owns and runs all the major industries (no more “big bad corrupt corporations”, see?), owns all the property, and provides free (crowded and ugly) housing and medical care (of the most impersonal , dehumanizing and inefficient kind) for “the masses”, a prohibition against ALL religion (the “opiate of the masses”, according to Marx), and a government-controlled press. We aren’t there yet, natch, but the liberals, helped by the ACLU and other such organizations, ARE,by judicial tyranny, eroding our property rights, our religious freedoms, and the freedom of dissent. You think they DON’T block dissent? The Clintons (the gods of the liberals/leftists, right up there with the womanizing, boozong, dishonest Kennedys) in the 90s tried and almost succeeded in putting the American Spectator out of business because the editors dared to strongly criticize the Clinton administration, more than once. And do you hear the liberal uproar whenever any scientist or scientific group complains about the hysteria over global warming? A young liberal woman was on FoxNews a couple of weeks ago with Laura Ingraham. She looked like an underweight hippie, complete with a sweatshirt with an atheist slogan on it. The neckline was torn off, baring her shoulders. She actually said that when conservatives spoke out, the liberals had a moral obligation to shout them down, physically attack them, take them to court, get their show cancelled, or whatever it took, because the liberals are morally superior to the conservatives, and the conservatives were therefore not protected by the first amendment. To me, she’d just explained why the double standard exists in the mainstream media, most of whose employees claim to be liberals. It’s an OUTRAGE.
One of the stated aims of the Communist Party AND the ACLU (whose founders were all members of the Communist Party) is the abolition of private property, and the Supreme Court recently made a ruling that greatly weakened private property rights. Not a lot was said about it in the MSM, until the Internet bloggers got the word out, and the public were informed. The ACLU sure didn’t make any objections, and I don’t remember much whining from the Democrats in Congress, either. The liberals, moreover, seem to expect people living in our southern border towns to just sit back and allow illegal immigrants passing through to damage and destroy their property, and steal their food and crops and whatever,as always, liberals wanting to be generous with OTHER PEOPLES’ property.
The ACLU works tirelessly toward their stated goal of official atheism by making it harder and harder for the American people to freely express their religious faith. The liberals are OK with that, too. In their moral superiority, they proclaim “God is dead” on the cover of a popular magazine, which makes it then just fine to be a promiscuous, permanently-stoned hippie type, or an abortion-performing doctor, or a pornographer, or an amoral Hollywood star, or billionaire liar, or bitter, angry, vicious-tongued Massachusetts senator with a drinking problem, or member of NAMBLA, but NOT OK to believe in God , certainly not publicly, with crosses, statues of Christ, and such. See, the first amendment covers Mapplethorpe’s “art”, I “can look away”, but I must take down the creche in my churchyard because “it offends people”. Liberals act as if they’d like all the believers to go away quietly and worship in unmarked basements with all the windows painted over and nothing they do audible from outside the basement.
